Snap just rolled out a bunch of updates to help creators make better content, faster.
Here’s what’s new:
1. Now turn Memories into videos
Snapchatters can now turn saved Memories into short videos using built-in templates.
You can crop, trim, and add layers without bouncing between apps.
The new “Create a Video” feature, now live on iOS, lets users pick a few photos or clips, choose a track from the Sounds library, and auto-generate a video with Lens and effects.

2. Insights for creators
Snapchat has introduces updated analytics across Stories and Spotlight to help creators better track performance and show their value to brands.
Key points:
- Returning Viewers
Tracks how many people watched your content on at least 12 different days in the past month. A strong signal of loyalty—and a useful stat to show sponsors. - Top Content
Highlights your most viewed Spotlight posts and Stories over the last 28 days. - Total View Time
Shows how many minutes your audience spent watching all your content like Spotlight, Public Stories, and Profile Stories. - Views by Traffic Source
Breaks down where your views are coming from: Discover, Following, Spotlight, Search, Chat, or Profile. - Spotlight Average View Time
Tracks how long people actually stick around on your Spotlight videos. - Spotlight Average View Rate
Tells you what percentage of your Spotlight posts people watch all the way through.
Snap says total time spent watching content is up year-over-year.
3. Auto-save Stories
Snapchat will soon let creators auto-save their public Stories to their profiles. So no more disappearing after 24 hours.
The feature helps creators build a permanent collection of highlights, making it easier to keep content accessible.

4. In-app editing is getting smarter
Snapchat’s launching a new Timeline Editor for US creators.
It lets you cut and rearrange clips in a simple, chronological view—right inside the app.
You can trim scenes, move stuff around, and then add Lenses, music, or effects.
Perfect for cleaning up Stories or stitching together a longer Spotlight video.

That’s all folks. Keep an eye out for future updates.
