Meta has updated how we post videos on Facebook.
Until now, posting a video meant choosing between Feed or Reel.
That’s ending.
Meta will merge both into a single flow. You won’t see the “upload as video” option anymore.

Key points:
No more format limits
Reels will now accept videos of any length and format. Short clips, longer stories and even live videos are included. They will all be treated as Reels.

Controlling who sees your Reels
Your audience settings will stay the same. But with this change, you’ll be prompted to confirm or update who can see your Reels when the formats merge. You can choose to share with just friends, or go public.
Video tab becomes Reels tab
To match the change, Meta will rename the “Video” tab to “Reels.” It will still show content personalized to your interests – whether short, long, or live.

Old videos stay available
Anything you’ve already posted as a regular video will still be there. Only new uploads will fall under the Reel format.
Why Meta is doing this
Meta says it wants to simplify how people share and discover video on Facebook. They believe one unified format will make video posting easier.
This update will roll out gradually.
Both profiles and Pages will see the change over the coming months.
